Meet Coco, a beautiful 6 year old greenwing macaw with tons of energy! She loves to be out and about with her humans and is always on the move! For the most part, she stays out on her playstand during the day and will let you know in the evening when she’s ready to be put to bed in her cage, usually by either sliding down off of the playstand or hopping onto the floor to come to you. Coco is a fairly vocal bird for such a young one, and loves greeting you with “Hello” and “Hi”, as well as calling out her own name if you’re out of sight of her. She also uses her voice to get your attention and like most greenwings, can be a bit demanding. While in our care, we’ve noticed that she tends to prefer men, but will step up to women as well once she’s away from her cage, which she can be a little territorial over. Coco is fairly beaky and will lunge at you when in or on her cage to check your reaction and to see if she can trust you. So for this reason, Coco is looking for experienced owners who will continue to work with her and show her the love and attention she needs and deserves.
